Thank you to everyone who submitted projects during Phase1 of the Open Call. The portfolios chosen by Anthony Luvera were as follows:

Encontros do Olhar invites all emerging* photographers and visual artists to submit projects for a free and informal portfolio review with distinguished voices in the contemporary photography scene.

From 21 Oct-28 Apr, 25 projects will be selected according to the jury's criteria, and chosen participants will be assigned a slot to present their portfolio along the programme of EDO 2021-22.


All submissions must include:
  1. Biography (up to 250 words);
  2. Project title and description (up to 250 words);
  3. 1 project per submission;
  4. 10-15 JPG images per project (72dpi 1500px on the largest side);


Send a zip file (max. 25 MB) with all contents to: ipf.edo@ipf.pt with the subject line: "Project Name / Open Call". Submissions that do not follow these criteria will not be considered.



* Emerging means someone, who has never exhibited her/his work individually or never (self) published a monograph.
